Embracing Rising Freshmen

Athletes transitioning from the 8th grade to the 9th grade embark on a new journey as "Rising Freshmen". At this juncture, they are permitted to start working out with the Edgewater High School team during specific sessions, acquainting themselves with the Edgewater Football program even before their high school commencement.

Integration Process for Transfer Students

Once your child completes enrollment at Edgewater High School, they are immediately incorporated into team workouts. However, their eligibility to compete alongside the team during games depends on the timing of their enrollment. This systematic approach ensures your child's smooth integration into our program.

Harnessing Potential in Off-Season Camps

Edgewater is a high-level football program that values athletes who show commitment during off-season training. We strive for excellence not just during the pre-, regular, and post-season, but also during the off-season. Our all-inclusive off-season program kicks off with Spring Camp, proceeds to Summer Workouts, focusing on strength and conditioning, and culminates in Fall Camp or Pre-Season camp, where we finalize team placements.

Ensuring Health with Athletic Physicals

Participating in any workout or competition necessitates a sports physical to ascertain the athlete's optimal health for football's physical demands. This critical requirement is in place to guarantee the safety of your child during their football journey at Edgewater High School.

Our Football Teams

Edgewater's football program hosts three distinct teams - Freshman, JV, and Varsity. Our experienced coaches decide the placement of incoming athletes, taking into account the athlete's skills, experience, and readiness.

Equipment Preparedness

At Edgewater, we take care of the essential football equipment like shoulder pads, helmets, and knee pads. Athletes are expected to come prepared with their own cleats, mouthpiece, and girdle, ensuring they're ready for the physical rigors of the sport while adhering to safety standards.

Gear up for an exhilarating journey of hard work, growth, and football excellence. The Edgewater High School Incoming Athletes program eagerly awaits you!
