Lough Field, featuring our own Edgewater Eagles squaring off against the Osceola Kowboys. With an ideal backdrop of clear, warm weather and a 7:00 PM kickoff, the stage was perfectly set for a spectacle to unfold.

Emerging triumphant with a convincing score of 24-7, the Eagles displayed their undeniable skill and tactical strategy throughout the game. The atmosphere was electrified, with the avid supporters playing a crucial role in fostering an exhilarating environment.

In the first quarter, our JV/Freshman team left a considerable impression. AJ Hughley sprinted into action with a remarkable 25-yard run. Freshman RB, Lawrence Pipkin, also had a field day, barrelling through the competition for two rushing TDs, but when the second quarter begun...

The young blood of our program showed immense promise. Freshmen standouts included Michael Clayton II, performing admirably in the QB position, Ben Bankowitz in the OL, defensive standout Aiden Anderson on the DL, and the dynamic Lawrence Pipkin at RB. Despite the absence of seniors like CJ Baxter, Chase Carter, and Camp Magee, these new additions compensated for their absence perfectly.

Our defensive lineup was particularly impressive, successfully stifling the Kowboys at every opportunity. An unforgettable highlight came when Sophomore DB, Jaden Brown, demonstrated incredible awareness with a timely interception.

Additionally, even without notable players such as WR AJ Howard and ATH Semaj Fleming, the offense didn't flinch. With Michael Clayton II at the helm, the Eagles showcased their versatility, making successful strides both through the air and on the ground.

One electrifying moment featured Kaden Shields-Dutton's exceptional 55-yard catch and run, paving the way for a quick 5-yard TD connection from Michael Clayton II to Cai Bates, showing the 4-star DB hasn't lost a step on the offensive side of the ball.

Despite a hiccup in the form of a recalled TD pass from Michael Clayton II to Jaden Brown due to a perceived infraction, the team's spirit remained undeterred. Stellar performances by Damon Troutman, Josh Alexander, JaTorian Mack, and Solomon Tripline contributed significantly to the defense's success.

Reflecting on the Spring game, the Eagles' robust offensive and defensive capabilities became abundantly clear. In spite of playing without some key players, the team put up a display that suggests the 2023 season could be one for the record books. Brace yourselves, Eagles' fans - this season promises to be an exciting journey!
