Get ready, Eagles! The sun's out, the temperature's rising, and the energy at Edgewater High School is off the charts. Our Eagles are ready to soar as the intense Edgewater Football 2023 Summer Workouts start tomorrow.
A Summer Ritual: Sweat, Strength, and Speed
Think of summer, and you might picture lazy beach days and chilled lemonades. But for the Edgewater High School football team, summer means sweat, determination, and lots of hard work. Our workout schedule? Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The boys will be on the field from 3:30-6:30 pm till July 10th. Then, they'll switch to cooler morning sessions, 8:30-11:00 am.
Guided by the Best: The Eagles' Coaches
These workouts are far from dull, featuring a mix of weight lifting, speed drills, agility training, and conditioning. Every day is a new challenge. Under the watchful eyes of our Head Coach, Cameron Duke and his talented coaching squad, the players will experience a different workout each day. And not to worry, parents! Our expert athletic trainers will be present, ensuring our athletes stay safe and hydrated.
Setting the Goals High
What's the goal of these tough summer workouts? It's all about being ready for the fall season, mentally and physically. We want our Eagles to be the strongest and the fittest. When other teams start to tire, that's when our boys will be hitting their stride.
And what can we expect in the fall? We're aiming for nothing less than greatness. Our target is to put out the best-prepared team every Friday night. But it's not just about football. We're also striving to help our players become the best individuals they can be. And, of course, we want to win the last game of the season.
